Our Terms and Conditions

In the following conditions, “you”, “your”, “participant” or “guest” refers to the first named person on the reservation and all persons on whose behalf a reservation is made. “We”, “us”, “our”, “the surf academy” or “the camp” refers to 360 Surf Academy, and when you make a reservation, your booking is with us. When making a booking you accept our Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking and Payment

  • Booking Process: To secure a reservation, a full payment or deposit must be made at the time of booking. All bookings are subject to availability.

  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept payments via credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and cash.

  • Currency: Payments must be made in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) unless otherwise stated.

  • Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed once full payment or deposit is received. A confirmation email or WhatsApp message will be sent to you with all the necessary details regarding your surf lesson or surf camp package.

Please note: the prices of the surf and camp packages that we offer may change. However, when your booking has been confirmed and we received your (deposit) payment, the price will not change anymore.

2. Responsibility of the First Named Person on the Booking

By making a reservation, you - as the first named person on the booking - agree on behalf of all participants that:

  • Medical Condition: You confirm that all participants are in good health and capable of safely staying at the surf camp and participating in surf lessons. If any participant has medical conditions (such as disabilities, diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, heart problems, recent injuries, hearing or vision problems), or special needs (such as medication), you must inform us at the time of booking. Failure to disclose such conditions may result in limitations during the stay or participation in activities, and in severe cases, may result in an inability to accommodate the guest.

  • Physical Fitness and Ability to Participate: You confirm that all participants are physically fit and capable of safely participating in both the surf lessons and navigating the layout of the surf camp. This includes having the necessary swimming skills for surf lessons and being able to move around the camp, which may include stairs and elevated pathways. If any participant has concerns regarding mobility, physical fitness, or swimming ability, you must notify us during the booking process so we can assist with determining suitability.

  • Special Requests: You agree to inform us of any special requests at the time of booking. Late requests may not be accommodated, and failure to meet them will not be considered a breach of contract on our part.

  • Financial Responsibility: You accept financial responsibility for the payment of the booking on behalf of all participants.

3. Changes to Your Booking

At 360 Surf Academy, we understand that plans can change. We strive to accommodate booking modifications where possible, but all changes are subject to the following conditions:

  • Requesting Changes: If you wish to make any changes to your booking (such as rescheduling your lesson or changing the number of participants), you must contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled surf lesson or package start date. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but this will depend on availability.

  • Rescheduling Fees: If changes are requested less than 48 hours in advance, we may charge a rescheduling fee to cover any costs incurred. Please note that last-minute requests are subject to availability and may not always be possible.

  • Changes by Us: If we need to make any changes to your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible. This may include changes to accommodation arrangements, lesson times, instructors, or surf spots, depending on the conditions. In the case of significant changes, we will offer you the option to reschedule or cancel your booking with a full refund.

  • Transfer of Booking: Your booking, including both accommodation and surf lessons, is non-transferable to another person without our prior consent. If you are unable to attend your lesson or stay, please contact us to discuss alternative options.

  • Package Modifications: If you have booked a package that includes multiple lessons or additional services along with accommodation, changes to your booking may result in adjustments to the overall cost. We will inform you of any price differences based on the modifications made to your accommodation or lesson package.

4. Cancellation of the Booking by us

  • Weather Conditions: We reserve the right to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, such as extreme weather conditions or other external factors affecting the safety or operations of the surf camp and surf school. In such cases, we will offer you either a full refund or the option to reschedule to a suitable date, depending on your preference.

  • Disruptive Behaviour: We also reserve the right to cancel your booking if you refuse to follow the instructions of our staff or if your behavior is disruptive, upsetting, or dangerous. If your actions endanger or hinder other guests, participants, employees, or third parties, or if you damage the property of the surf academy or others, we may cancel the rest of your booking immediately. In such cases, no refund, compensation, or reimbursement of any costs or expenses will be provided.

  • Medical Reasons: Additionally, we may cancel your booking for medical reasons if we believe a medical condition could affect your safety during the surf lesson. If we determine that participating in a lesson could pose a risk to your health due to fitness levels or other concerns, we may request that you undergo a medical check-up at your own expense. If the results indicate a potential health risk, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without a refund.

5. Cancellation of the Booking by you

  • Surf Camp: Cancellations made 14 days or more before your scheduled arrival will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable. However, we are happy to offer you the option to reschedule your stay within the next 12 months, subject to availability. In the event of a no-show (failure to arrive on your scheduled check-in day without prior notice), no refund will be provided.

  • Surf School: Cancellations made 7 days or more before the start of your surf lessons will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days are non-refundable, but you can reschedule your lessons for a future date within 12 months, based on availability. 15. Surf Conditions

  • Surf Conditions: We are not responsible for poor surfing conditions, but we always strive to find the best surf spots suited to your level based on the day’s conditions. If low-quality waves or unfavorable conditions make it impossible to surf, our staff may continue the lesson on the beach or reschedule it to a later time or another day. In cases where weather or ocean conditions are deemed unsafe, lessons will be rescheduled for your safety. Our instructors make the final decision regarding safety, and we ask that you respect their judgment. In the event of a reschedule, we will offer alternative dates for you to choose from.

16. Code of Conduct

Disruptive or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in the immediate termination of your lesson without a refund.

  • Following Instructor Guidance: In the water, especially for beginners and intermediate surfers, it is crucial to stay close to the instructor. Our instructors and management will decide the most suitable surf spot for each lesson based on conditions and skill level. Please follow their guidance at all times to ensure safety and maximize your experience.

  • Lesson Duration: Surf lessons last a maximum of 2 hours. You are free to stop earlier if you wish, but no refund or compensation will be provided for unused time (see Clause 5).

  • Responsibility for Personal Belongings: While you may leave your belongings in our car, the warung on the beach, or on the boat, we do not accept responsibility for lost, damaged, or stolen items. Please take care of your personal belongings.

  • Alcohol and Drugs: Attending surf lessons under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. If a participant is found to be unfit for the lesson due to alcohol or drug consumption, we reserve the right to refuse participation without a refund.

17.  Surf Equipment

  • Provided Equipment: Surfboards, leashes, and rash guards are provided by 360 Surf Academy during lessons. We love our surf equipment and we worked hard for our small collection. If you have any medical conditions or disabilities (such as asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, heart problems, recent injuries, hearing or vision issues, etc.) that may affect your participation, you must notify us at the time of booking. If you're unsure whether your health is suitable for surfing, we recommend consulting a doctor before booking. If necessary, you may be required to provide an approval letter from your doctor.

  • Medication: If you need to take any medication during the lesson, please bring it with you and inform our instructors about the medication and how it should be used. Keep in mind that some surf locations may be remote, with limited access to medical facilities.

  • Fitness and Swimming Skills: Surfing requires a certain level of general fitness and swimming ability. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are physically fit enough to participate in the surf lesson. If you're unsure about your fitness level, please consult a doctor. • Assumption of Risk: Surfing, like other adventure and watersports, involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, death, or damage caused by weather, water conditions, surfboards, or other participants. By participating in our surf lessons, you acknowledge these risks and agree to assume full responsibility for any accidents, injuries, or incidents that may occur.
